Thomas, known to most everyone as T.J., was born in Cleveland, Ohio. His family relocated to Columbus, Ohio where he completed his education through high school.

In 2004, he and Jeffrey Grossman were among the first attorneys in Ohio ever certified as Specialists in Family Relations Law by the Ohio State Bar Association. The two have continued to practice together for over 20 years.

T.J. is a former public school teacher, high school coach, head of the Juvenile Defense Unit of the Franklin County Public Defender's office, and Chief Referee of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. He has extensive experience in all areas of Family Law.

T.J. is a staunch fan of the Miami University Redhawks and a lifetime member of the Alumni Club. He likes to fly fish and hike in the Western United States.
